In order to foster the cooperation between Chongqing Medical University and Bishan District People's Government, and to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements for the benefit of society, Ma Hao, Chairman of Dongguan Liesheng Electronic Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Liesheng Electronic"), and his fellows came to Chongqing Medical University and donated RMB 23 million to the Education Foundation of Chongqing Medical University on October 26 (the eve of the 65th anniversary of the school), aiming at promoting the school's teaching & research and the cooperation between school and enterprise.

At this year's Smart China Expo, Liesheng Electronic has signed an important investment cooperation agreement with Chongqing Medical University and Bishan District People's Government for up to RMB 1 billion. The company is one of the first batch of Xiaomis Eco-chain enterprises and is selected as a special new "Little Giant" enterprise by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is a leading domestic consumer-grade smart wearables brand and ODM solution provider. According to the agreement, Liesheng Electronic will build Xiaomi Eco-chain Industrial Park and Liesheng Electronic Southwest Headquarters Base etc. in the Western (Chongqing) Science City (Bishan). The three parties will also jointly set up the Western New Health Management Research Institute for chronic disease big data research, chronic disease management AI algorithms and intelligent medical wearables, establish a cloud chronic disease management platform, promote related mature and listed scientific research results and product transformation applications, and realize chronic disease grading diagnosis and treatment and community family management.

According to the “Report on Nutrition and Chronic Disease Status of Chinese Residents (2020)” released by the State Council Information Office, with the continuous improvement of Chinese economic and social development and the level of health services, the average life expectancy of residents has continued to increase and the survival period of patients with chronic diseases has continued to extend. Moreover, with the aging of the population, the accelerated process of urbanization, industrialization and the influence of behavioral risk factors on the incidence of chronic diseases, the number of chronic disease patients in China will continue to expand. Meanwhile, the proportion of deaths due to chronic diseases will continue to increase. In 2019, China's deaths caused by chronic diseases accounted for 88.5% of the total deaths, and the death rate of heart cerebrovascular disease, cancer, and chronic respiratory diseases was 80.7%. There is still a huge challenge for the prevention and control work.

To explore a new model of chronic disease management, Liesheng Electronic has launched a new work plan. The company will fund and be responsible for the technical R&D work. This donation aims to help Chongqing Medical University in relevant major education and scientific research, promote the research and application of scientific and technological products, and establish a mechanism for health management of chronic diseases.

Ma Hao, Chairman of Dongguan Liesheng Electronic Co., Ltd., said that making a donation is an important step to seize the development opportunity of the economic construction of Chengdu and Chongqing districts and to feed back users with technology and products. The donation will help Chongqing Medical University in the professional development of clinical medicine, smart medicine, medical information and other disciplines, talent training and "double first-class" discipline construction, bringing benefits for the society and promoting the exploration of new model of chronic disease health management.

In the future, Liesheng Electronic will continue to focus on scientific research and education, and actively explore new forms of public welfare education, to promote the development of education for all, and to contribute to the welfare of society.
